The Massachusetts State Office of Minority and Women Business Assistance (SOMWBA) was established to encourage and support the development of businesses owned and operated by minorities and women. It is also charged with investigating and reviewing firms seeking affirmative business opportunities, to ensure that they fully comply with all state and federal statutory requirements.
